What is residential care?

Also known as assisted living or personal care, high end quality residential care is provided at Lyndhurst.  Our passion is to provide a person centred care for every elderly service users. Our team is always on call, available to care for our residents 24 hours a day, seven days a week, to provide all the crucial elements of personal care they require to lead a happy and comfortable lifestyle.

At Lyndhurst, our residential care focuses on providing a welcoming, warm, safe, and friendly environment where our residents can feel supported and empowered as they go about their daily routines.

Benefits of residential care

Moving in a residential care home has numerous advantages for the service user and their loved ones.  Our team are dedicated and happy to getting to know each of our residents’ unique needs, likes and dislike, daily routine etc . We take the time to explore their individual medication and care needs, as well as personal preferences, such as how they like their tea or coffee and when they want to wake up, do they sleep with a small light on, do they have a hot drink before going to bed etc. 

We focus a lot on personal care which helps us to provide them with as much independence as possible. We’re committed to allowing them to make their bedrooms as personal as they wish, with all the things they treasure, to make it feel like home. If they choose to do their own chores or want to relax in front of the TV with their meals, we’ll assist in making them feel comfortable, supported, independent, and always respected and appreciated.

Our activity coordinator organises regular activities such as afternoon tea, quizzes, bingo, sing a long , bowling, putting golf, outings, cinema etc.
